The Beaches return to Halifax as headliners at the Scotiabank Centre

Canadian rock band The Beaches are heading back to Halifax this fall, but this time they’re not the opening act. The Toronto four-piece will headline the Scotiabank Centre on November 13 as part of their first-ever arena tour, No Hard Feelings.

It’s a full-circle moment for the band, who have played the Scotiabank Centre before, but previously as support. They opened for Matt Mays and July Talk in 2018, and later returned to the same stage alongside Avril Lavigne. Now, after years of building a loyal fanbase and dominating the alt-rock airwaves, they’re stepping into the spotlight on Halifax’s biggest stage.

Their Halifax journey started on a much smaller scale. In May 2018, The Beaches played their first headlining show in the city at the Seahorse Tavern (see video below). Since then, they’ve won several JUNOs, landed hit singles like “Blame Brett,” and earned a reputation as one of Canada’s best live bands.

The Scotiabank Centre show will also feature special guests Valley, making this one of the must-see concerts of the year for East Coast indie rock fans.
